Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 August 2026

The short version

SLOD is a personal project run by one person. It stores what it needs to run an account and a feed, and nothing is sold, rented or handed to advertisers. There is no advertising or tracking network on this site.

What is stored

  • Your account — email address, username, and a hashed password. Passwords are never stored in a readable form. If you sign in with Google or Discord instead, that provider tells us your email address and nothing more.
  • Your profile — display name, bio, location, website and phone number, if you fill them in. All optional, and all editable or blankable at any time in profile settings. Your phone number is never shown to anyone else.
  • What you write — posts, comments and the accounts you follow. Public by nature.
  • Your votes — upvotes and downvotes. Downvotes are never shown to anyone. Upvotes are private too, unless you turn on Show my upvotes on my profile in settings.
  • Game progress — if you play the game, the inventory, currency and progress attached to your account.
  • Request logs — the requests your account makes to the API, kept so support can work out what went wrong. These are deleted automatically after 14 days.
  • Contact form — if you use the contact form on the portfolio, your name, email, message and IP address are stored so the message can be read and replied to.

Who else sees it

Three third parties are involved, and only for what they do:

  • Google and Discord, if you use them to sign in. They confirm who you are. We do not post anything to them.
  • Stripe, if you buy anything. Card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this server — it only ever sees whether a payment succeeded.
  • Maileroo, which delivers contact-form email.

Nobody else. No analytics, no advertising, no data brokers.

Cookies

None. Your sign-in is kept in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is not sent to anyone but this site. Signing out clears it.

Deleting your account

Email support@slod.com and your account will be deactivated: your email address and username are released for reuse, sign-in stops working, and any linked Google or Discord identity is disconnected.

To be straightforward about what that does and does not do: the underlying record is retained rather than erased, because posts, mail and match history reference it and deleting it outright would corrupt other people's data. Ask for full erasure and it will be done by hand.

Children

SLOD is not intended for anyone under 13, and accounts known to belong to children under 13 are removed.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to support@slod.com.
